Akshay Kumar’s app for the welfare of soldiers’ families gets approval from Government

Like most of his recent movies, Akshay Kumar has developed a social conscience towards our country and its inhabitants. Earlier we had written about how Akshay Kumar has been in MP to dig toilets for a village there. Now we have learnt another news that will make his fans super happy and put his claim as the most patriotic actor in the industry. Remember some time back when Akshay Kumar had posted a video where he said he wants to get on with a social initiative – an app that would help the living kin of the slain braveheart soldiers protecting our country’s borders. His idea was to use the app to help people provide financial help to the families of these soldiers.

The app, called Bharat Ke Veer app, got the approval from the government, who is also supporting his upcoming movie, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, as per a report in India Today. As per the report, the app will allow people to transfer a maximum of Rs 15 lakh as a donation to the verified account of the next of kin of those killed in the line of duty. Quite cool, right?

Earlier, Akshay Kumar had also donated Rs 9 lakh each to the families of 12 CRPF personnel who were killed in a Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh, a feat that won Akshay a lot of praises than his stunts ever did.

Akshay Kumar has been quite vocal about his social initiatives and responsibilities ever since the Uri attacks happened, and voiced his opinions on the Bengaluru attacks and benefits of Ayurvedic treatments, something that has endeared his fans to him.
