Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee have been in love with each other since they were teenagers. And their love story is still being written with a new chapter added, every now and then. The latest one is a surprise for a Debina herself. Recently, Gurmeet suprised his wife by buying a plot amidst the scenic beauty of North India for her as a pre-birthday gift! A source says, “During their holidays in Himachal Pradesh last year, they thought about buying a place there, as Debina feels it’s one the most beautiful places on earth. They have been to the state often on vacation or for work. Gurmeet is fond of adventure sports, and one can indulge in many adventure sports in the region. So, it was ideal to get a farmhouse kind of place in the state.”
Gurmeet, who will be next seen in Laali Ki Shaadi Me Laddoo Deewana is sure as hell deewana about his own shaadi to Debina. He says, “Debina is very fond of visiting exotic locations in Himachal Pradesh and always wanted to own a house there. So, this birthday, I thought of gifting her a beautiful house located in a small village near Manali.” The plot is apparently located in a small village near Manali, and the couple plans to build a house there soon! Isn’t that best birthday gift ever? Seriously these two give, what people call it, #couplegoals!
Gurmeet Choudhary is probably the sweetest celebrity you will ever meet. The only time you must have seen him angry is during a staged prank he pulled off for us on April Fool’s day. Check out the video right here:
We have been in love with Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee as a couple since they were doing Ramayan. Little did we all know that the two were already married at the time of filming that show. Gurmeet opened about it in a recent EXCLUSIVE interview with BollywoodLife. “A lot of people think that I and Debina met while filming for Ramayan, and then we got married in 2011. Very few know that when we were nothing, we weren’t actors, we were only looking for work – we were just 19 and 20 years old, we eloped and got married, in 2006. We did not tell our parents. Our friends helped us to get married at a temple in Goregaon.” he said.
“We told our families only a year and a half ago, when we made a name for ourselves, people started recognizing us, and we had money, car and a house – then we got married again in 2011. But in that marriage we did not perform all the rituals. I did not come riding a horse or anything. On the same day, as that in 2006, we opted for a court marriage in 2011,” he further added.
