Did you know that Jhanvi Kapoor recommended the lead actor for Sridevi’s upcoming movie, Mom? A year ago, when Boney Kapoor was looking for an actor to be cast as the male protagonist for Mom, Jhanvi stepped in and suggested to cast Pakistani actor, Adnan Siddiqui for the role. It so happened that the 21-year old Jhanvi watched Michael Winterbottom’s critically acclaimed film, A Mighty Heart (2007) and she was mighty impressed with Irrfan Khan and Adnan’s cameos in the movie. So she suggested Adnan’s name to daddy Boney Kapoor since he was already looking for a lead actor. After watching A Mighty Heart, he readily agreed and asked him to give the look test.

“Boney was considering other options but Jhanvi, who has followed Adnan’s work in Pakistani cinema extensively, showed her dad A Mighty Heart and made sure he agreed to do a look test. Boney was impressed and had his team get in touch with Adnan, who immediately agreed to come on-board,” Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying. If you remember Jhanvi and Khushi were often snapped on the sets of the film. So it’s a given that they must have bonded well with the entire cast and were very involved in the film. Merely at the age of 20, she has suggested the lead actor of a film, which only means that she has an eye for talent too! And that is great. Don’t you guys thinks so

Jhanvi is gearing up for her Bollywood debut and rumours are rife that Karan Johar is going to launch her and Ishaan Khattar in the Hindi remake of Sairat. In fact father Boney Kapoor even confirmed the news a couple of months ago saying, “Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we’ve given consent. But we don’t know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of Sairat it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project.” KJo has even asked Jhanvi to make less frequent appearances and to not be very active on social media just so that the buzz around her Bollywood debut is more.
