Kareena Kapoor Khan is a rockstar and that’s a fact we’re all well versed with. She has been breaking all sorts of Bollywood stereotypes and doing what she does best, being awesome all the time! Very recently, the diva performed at Zee Cine Awards 2017. As this was her first performance since baby boy Taimur’s birth, it definitely became a big deal. After only three months since her baby’s birth, Kareena not only has started to get back in shape but also has made her first awards function performance.
On the same, Bollywood actress and aunt Neetu Kapoor said she was excited for Kareena Kapoor Khan’s post-pregnancy performance at the Zee Cine Awards in Mumbai. Neetu was present at the award ceremony as her husband Rishi Kapoor received two nominations. When asked about Kareena’s performance, she said: “I am very excited. She will be performing after sometime. She is our rock star!” Kareena is Rishi Kapoor’s niece. After delivering her first child Taimur in December 2016, this was the first time she performed at an award show on Saturday night.
The diva even told the paparazzi at the award function’s red carpet that she was giving a tribute to all the Khans she has worked with. With that she concluded that having worked with Salman, Saif, Shah Rukh and Aamir, Bebo thought it would be befitting to stage a performance and honour the films where she shared screen space with them. A source had told us, “It will be a tribute to the Khans. Most of her hits were with the Khans, so she will perform on songs from films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Salman), 3 Idiots (Aamir), Tashan (Saif) and Ra.One (SRK) among others. Kareena will be styled by Manish Malhotra and has been paid a whopping amount for the act.”
For the awards night, Kareena chose a resplendent navy blue sequinned gown. With a plunging neckline and a gorgeous train, words fall short for how gorgeous she looked. In case you missed out all the magic from last night. You can check it out on our site. The awards will air on Zee Cinema channel on April 1, 7:30 pm. Stay tuned.
