The talk of the town in Holywood last year was the surprise announcement of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s separation. Fans were shocked to know of the split of one of the most powerful couples in the world.
The apparent reason for their separation was conflict over their six kids, Brad’s substance abuse and anger issues. The end straw was a rumoured incident on a plane between Brad and son Maddox
While sources have stated that Brad is heartbroken over the decision of the split and that he misses his kids, Angelina has mostly stayed mum on the issue as the legal battle for the kids took place.
But now, Jolie has finally gotten candid about the divorce with a leading UK based entertainment portal.
On her separation, she said, “It was very difficult. Many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family have all been through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children.”
But she is not yet losing hope. She added, “We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.”
Angie is currently in Cambodia for the screening of First They Killed My Father, which is based on the Khmer Rouge genocide accounted through the eyes of a child. Her kids were present to support their mom at the screening and they are definitely all grown up.
